Women's Tennis Tops George Mason, 5-2

Philadelphia - The Drexel women's tennis team defeated George Mason, 5-2, in a Colonial Athletic Association match held at Vidas Athletic Complex. The victory marked the first conference triumph of the season for the Dragons (3-6).
Gabriela Marginean and Emily Lewis won both their doubles matches and singles matches in leading the Dragons to victory. The pair teamed at No. 1 doubles to win eight of the match's nine games to help Drexel take two of three matches and the team point in doubles play. Marginean topped Maricel Ballester, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles as she won her second straight CAA singles match. Emily Lewis dropped just two games in her win at No. 2 singles over Alex LaCoste. Hana Stecova and Ashley Doriss earned a victory at No. 3 doubles while Mellissa Lewis took her match at No. 3 singles and Jill Toussaint won at No. 6 singles.
Drexel returns to the court on Saturday, April 7 for a CAA match against Hofstra. The match has been moved to Riverwinds Tennis Center in West Deptford, N.J. The first match will begin at 3:15 p.m. For directions to RIverwinds, click here.
